Nature directs me and inspires my representational and abstract paintings.
Debra is a Dallas based professional contemporary artist, environmentalist, humanitarian and pilot. She has been curating her art since 2004 to private collectors, galleries, the design and hospitality trade, corporate collections and public art.
Debra tells visual narratives of relationships between humans and nature. She illustrates these stories using realistic and abstract contemporary oil and acrylic paintings focused on the timeless unity between man and art. She feels that by telling stories through her art will help us to understand each other, our planet and it's inhabitants on a more personal level with no borders, prejudices or boundaries.
"Painting moods, places & life experiences through my artworks encompass powerful emotions. Constantly experimenting and occasionally revisiting earlier phases with new understanding in my work, I express aliveness, nature and culltural issues. I paint on a daily basis from my Dallas studio and gallery on Dragon Street in the epicenter of contemporary art in the city of Dallas. I use multiple layers of paint, working in both oils, acrylics and mixed media."
Debra's paintings have been exhibited at The Naples Art Museum, The National Cowgirl Hall of Fame Museum Inductions, The Academy of Equine Arts, Naples Botanical Gardens, Art House, The Pace Center, Clatsop College, solo and group exhibitions and Ferrari's art is in permanent public art and corporate collections throughout the US and Europe.
